Civilization VI Can't Be Opened on Steam or is "Damaged"

If that doesn't solve the problem and Steam begins complaining about missing files, you can try to verify the integrity of the install by following these steps:

1. First quit Steam and relaunch it (this sometimes is the actual fix!)
2. Navigate to the Library and find Civilization VI
3. Right click the game and select "Properties"
4. In the new window, click to "Installed Files"
5. Then find the button "Verify integrity of game files" and click that. Let it run through its process (sometimes will take awhile).
