Some games require special installers that run outside of the MacGameStore App. There are three phases to how the MacGameStore App handles these special installer games:
- Downloading Phase - the MGS App downloads the installer.
- Installing Phase - the special installer runs, placing the game files on your drive.
- Linking Phase - The MGS App creates a link to the newly installed game so you can launch it from within the MGS App.
Sometimes, customers will stop after the Installing Phase and start to play their game, and leave the Linking Phase incomplete. Later, when they're ready to shut down the MacGameStore App, it won't quit and gives a message saying that a game is still installing.
To finish the Installation, double-click the game's title in the MY GAMES - PURCHASES area of the MGS App. A dialog will descend asking if you want to Install or Find. Click "Find," and select the newly installed game app. This will allow the MGS App to create a link to the newly installed game so you can launch it from within your purchased games library.
